This Privacy Notice applies to all personal data you provide on the Website. By browsing the Website, you will find the relevant privacy notice and by ordering the advertised service, you accept its contents. The Privacy Policy is subject to change by the Company.

For the purposes of this policy, a user is an individual who clicks on the Website, whether or not they choose to use the service. The service indicated on the aforementioned website is available only in Hungary. Hungarian law applies to the users during the service.

We protect personal data in connection with our sales activities for the following data protection purposes.

Purpose of processing: to sell our own services

You participate in confidential matters when you place an order by clicking on the “Book now” button – in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter “GTC”).

The rules for ordering/purchasing can be found in the GTC. By filling in the form available on the Website, your personal data will be stored in order to fulfil our contractual obligations. The legal basis for processing is the contract between you and the Data Controller.

The data we process include: the name, type and category of the programme chosen, its date, number of passengers, first name, surname, e-mail, telephone number, comments, payment method chosen, bank details; in addition, to ensure a smooth ordering process, you can create your own account and we will store the contents of your shopping basket by entering a password.

The data source is the form filled in by the customer. Your data will be stored for 5 years after the contract is completed. The service ordered on the Website will be provided by us and your data will not be transferred to third parties.

The information you provide during the ordering process is stored online in the administration centre of the website and is stored in a storage facility operated by our hosting provider.

When you make a payment, you will be redirected to the Stripe Inc. transaction page or the direct bank transaction page, depending on your choice. The bank details used for financial transactions are unknown to the Data Controller.

Purpose of data processing: login

If you have created an account with a password at the time of booking to check the content of your order, you can log in to our website using your email address and password next time.

The legal basis for the processing of the data provided at the time of registration is the declaration made by you by filling in the form before registration. Your registration data will be stored until the withdrawal is initiated.

The data source is the form you fill in. The data you provide during the ordering process will be stored online in the administration centre of the website, and will be stored in a storage facility hosted by our hosting provider.

Purpose of processing: customer service relationship

You can request more information about our services by filling in the message board under Contact.

The data processed on the message board (first and last name, e-mail, telephone number, subject, message) will be transmitted via our e-mail server to info@budboat.hu for the purpose of contact management; these data will be stored until the purpose of the processing is fulfilled and then deleted from our server. The legal basis for the processing is your consent if you send the e-mail voluntarily. Your contact details are processed by our sales and customer service staff.

Purpose of processing: guaranteed exercise of withdrawal/redress rights

In accordance with the current consumer protection legislation and when exercising the right of withdrawal under the GTC, the Data Controller protects the name, address and date of withdrawal of the consumer.

The legal basis for processing is the contract between you and our company. The source of the data is the withdrawal notice sent by you on paper or by e-mail. The data will be stored until the civil statute of limitations expires. The data will only be disclosed to our legal representative and/or claims administrator in the event of a dispute.

All statements sent by e-mail are stored on our online e-mail server. The data is processed exclusively by our sales and customer service staff.

Purpose of data processing: complaint handling

In the event of a complaint and its handling, we store the user’s personal data (name, address, e-mail address, subject of the complaint). In accordance with the GTC and consumer protection regulations, the data written in the complaint will be stored electronically in a separate folder on our server for 5 years. The legal basis for data processing is the consent of the user and the fulfilment of legal obligations. The data source is the complaint form you fill in. The data is processed exclusively by our sales and customer service staff. The data will only be passed on to our legal representative and/or claims handler in the event of a dispute.
